Week Seven {Days One thru Three} ...

This week is week seven! It's almost been two months since we first broke ground. It's crazy to me on just how much has been done in only seven weeks. This week so far has been an exciting one {aren't they all?}! Last night we took dinner out there and had a picnic with my mom. It was a beautiful night and we had fun walking all around the land and snapping pictures of the progress this week. I even got to help Nick wrap the house {they put house wrap on the house before putting the siding up in case water or moisture gets through the siding somehow, so the house will still be protected.} which was fun!

They got more of the porch and porch roof framed! Ekkkk!

The garage windows are framed {from the inside} but still haven't been cut out, so the garage will look different once that is done. There are two windows.

4 windows were put in {one in the kitchen, two in the dining room and one in the master so far} and two sliders {one in the dining room and one in the living room}. Nick helped with this. The sliders were 400+ lbs!

Closer up on the windows. The white stuff you see is the house wrap.

Our fireplace was installed! I LOVE our fireplace. At  our old house our fireplace was strictly for looks. You could burn real wood in it and everything but it wouldn't really give off any heat that would actually help heat the house. This little baby is the exact opposite and if we need it to, can heat the house. Very excited about this! Plus I think it fits great with our farmhouse theme. I really love it.

Slider in living room.

The excavators finished on Monday and are officially done at our house! We no longer have random man made dirt hills and mounds. It looks totally different out there now, and I love it. Now we just need to get some grass growing...

Another shot of the porch, coming from the side of the house/garage.

Hey! Look! There I am! {with Weston!} I am usually always behind the camera! My mom took this as we took our nightly walk on the land. Weston was catching a evening snooze.

Nana and Porter looking at some cool rocks.

I saw this bright red dragon fly land on the house as we were wrapping it. I have never seen one that color. It was pretty awesome!

Porter sitting in a window!

This is what I helped do! I rolled the paper out and held it up and Nick stapled it!

Nick got quite a few more posts dug for our fence as well!
